help wanted from the world of deviant art

i need help to get myself up to date with the workings of DA. like how to link someone's name or avatar in the artists comments or even in a comment to someone else. also, i need input on how to edit my pics well, how to use layers in photoshop (i'm a starving artist and only have Photoshop 6. beggars can't be choosers!) & how to improve. if anyone knows, too, where i can find a good, used, digital Canon Rebel, i would be eternally grateful. so i will be eagerly awaiting your responses!!
